#ExpandtheCourt

Contemporary Art League is committed to supporting the community of art workers in Los Angeles County by building solidarity, equity, and unity within our field. The Supreme Court’s spate of recent decisions impact all of us immediately and position the court to impact us even more deeply in the future. Democracy is at stake, and we are disappointed, frustrated, and enraged. We have been feeling hopeless, which feels familiar from the early days of the pandemic when CAL was born out of a similar sense of despair. Hopelessness and despair can spur action; that is how CAL was formed and it is how we are responding to the Supreme Court’s recent rulings. Please join us in taking action to expand the court to protect human rights in our community and beyond.
